On monday, when I left Paris for the airport it was snowing. Being as organised as I am, I called ahead asking if my flight was delayed at all etc. No they said. Good I said and went on my way.
Got to the airport, Checked in, la de da. Went to Gate, flight was saying it had a 1 hour delay. I was thinking, all good, Ill still make my connecting. Got on board. SAT ON THE PLANE FOR FOUR HOURS, while we would get various updates such as ‘we have been delayed, we dont know how long by, there is a security issue on the gorund etc’ Then we were told our flight was cancelled, and that the airport was closed. 120 flights cancelled. They said ‘go get your bags, re book your ticket and we are sorry for the inconvience etc’

I waited 3 hours to get my bag back. I then waited another 4 hours in line to get a new ticket home. At which point I was told I was already checked into a flight the next day at the same time and neednt have lined up. Oh and also SORRY WE HAVE NO HOTEL ROOMS FOR YOU TO STAY AT.

I slept on the cold stone floor next to the departure check in desks.

Tuesday: I wake up at 2am, 4am, 5am, 8am, Look for food as all I had eaten the day before was a chocolate bar and a fruit salad thinking I would be eating on the plane.
Go to line up to check in, it says on the board my flight is closed. I panic, ask about 5 air france staff who know nothing or nonchalantly tell me to que in this line or that line.
Check in, get told my flight is delayed, me: i thought it was meant to leave at 1:30’ ‘no it was meant to leave at 11 oh and by the way its boarding’
SPRINT through to my gate, yeah NOT BOARDING. once again says closed on everything. I ask whats going on. They say it was mean to leave at 11 but 11 rolled around and plane had no crew, was dirty and had no fuel.
We end up leaving at about 2:30, make it to HK and make my connecting which is Qantas and find out Ive been upgraded to business (Q knows how to treat their customers, air france can go suck a cock)
FINALLY I AM HOME, My bag however is not. My phone is out of battery and the chargers in said bag, should be getting it tomorrow.
